More than 15 HD DVD titles from Warner Home Video planned for HD DVD's European Launch

Freshly-baked from the oven... the little coverage as promised (no hype of course).

Exerpts of press release from Warner Home Video:

Warner Home Video, which distributes the largest film library of any studio, announced today at IFA 2006 the company's plans to release more than 15 HD DVD titles in European markets. These markets include France, Germany, Spain and the UK. The initial films, a combination of recent hits and catalog favorites, are expected to be available late 2006.

Warner Bros. titles will be released in conjunction with the expected European availability of HD DVD movie players and will include recent hits such as "Rumor Has It" and "Constantine," as well as classics from the extensive Warner Home Video library such as "Goodfellas," "Troy" and "Lethal Weapon."

HD DVD offers resolution up to six times higher than standard definition DVDs, extraordinarily vibrant contrast and color in addition to beautifully crisp sound. HD DVD also provides a new level of interactivity, giving instant access to extra features with the debut of a seamless menu-bar that allows viewers to enjoy features and settings without leaving or interrupting the film.
