HD DVD's European Debut At IFA 2006 - Part 1


HD DVD Promotion Group will be holding a press conference today (Sept 1) from 1615 to 1715 hours Berlin time. Expect announcements possibly ranging from European HD DVD titles to HD DVD players...

Early details on the HD DVD player front

Toshiba (Europe) is due to unveil two HD DVD players (HD-E1 and HD-XE1). The pricier and superior model logically will be the HD-XE1 as it will be the first HD DVD player in the CE industry to output 1080p over HDMI and to feature HDMI 1.3. Formal announcements will coincide with the HD DVD Promotion Group's Press Conference... Thank you. I'm pretty excited too about the HD DVD announcements that are going to be made at the event (most possibly 2nd gen HD DVD players, HD DVD titles with DTS-HD Master Audio...)
