Some changes to Universal Studios' HD DVD disc specs...

In my previous posts, I have posted that Universal Studios Home Entertainment has indicated that the following titles due on September 26 or October 24 will contain the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track.

But the studio has since updated the release specs for the following titles and it seems that they will no longer feature the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track. The reason as to why I used the term "it seems" is because the specs may again be subject to changes considering that there are still weeks or even months before these titles will appear in stores.

• The Fast and the Furious (Sept 26)
• 2 Fast 2 Furious (Sept 26)
• 12 Monkeys (Oct 24)
• Out of Sight (Oct 24)
• The Thing (Oct 24)

On a bright note, End of Days and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas HD DVD will still contain the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio track. This information is reflected on the HD DVD Titles Release List and the disc specs for these affected titles have also been updated.
