Jimi Hendrix Experience ‘Live at Monterey’ 40th Anniversary Theatrical Launch Event

In conjunction with the launch of the DVD and HD DVD release, the Jimi Hendrix Experience ‘Live at Monterey’ 40th Anniversary Theatrical Launch Event will be held at London Hippodrome (10-14 Cranbourn Street, London, WC2H 7JH) in the United Kingdom on Thursday October 25th, 7.45pm.

The event begins with a major theatrical simulcast featuring Hendrix’s legendary Monterey footage that will be screened at 7:45pm, followed by an hour-long live concert performed by an all-star band featuring guitarist Gary Moore, and surviving Jimi Hendrix Experience members, Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (the bassist who also played in the Band of Gypsys), plus Darrin Mooney (drums with Primal Scream) and Dave Bronze (bass). Eddie Kramer, Hendrix’ original recording engineer responsible for all of Jimi’s seminal studio albums, will handle the 5.1 Surround Sound mix at the cinecast at the Hippodrome.

This exclusive, historic, and one-time only theatrical music film event and tribute concert to one of rock'n'roll's greatest electric guitarists, will receive a simultaneous pan-European HD broadcast to cinemas screens (including selected VUE cinema screens around the UK) in hi-definition and 5.1 Surround Sound.

Tickets for this historic Hendrix one-time-only screening and live concert event at The Hippodrome are priced £35+VAT and £175+VAT for special VIP tickets (booking fees apply). This event is open to 18’s and over.
