Warner Home Video Promotes 'The Matrix' Film Franchise HD DVD


On May 22, consumers will be able to experience The Matrix films in the best possible picture and sound to date as Warner Home Video has earlier announced that all 3 films in The Matrix film franchise will be released first on HD DVD on that day.

On that day, there will be 2 HD DVD release configurations on sale, The Complete Matrix Trilogy (3 HD-30 discs; $99.99) and The Ultimate Matrix Collection (3 HD DVD/DVD Combos + 2 double-sided DVDs; $119.99). All 3 films will be presented in 1080p High Definition 2.4:1 video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless audio. All 3 films will feature Warner Home Video's HD DVD-exclusive In-Movie Experience (IME). Warner Home Video has kindly provided a short video preview of what IME is like for the upcoming HD DVD set.

Warner Home Video would also be running a limited time offer for consumers who bought The Complete Matrix Trilogy HD DVD set.
