Superman Returns on HD DVD, Nov 28

Warner Home Video has announced that Superman Returns will be due on HD DVD/DVD Combo Format disc, Nov 28. It will be priced at $39.99 SRP. They have even went as far as placing an advertisement on Home Media Retailing magazine (Thanks to readers who've provided this info.) which lists the HD DVD Combo priced at $39.99 SRP.

As I've yet to see the press release for this HD DVD release to further confirm that its really a HD DVD/DVD Combo, I would add that spec changes are possible... although quite unlikely.

The DVD side of this HD DVD/DVD Combo release will be similar to the standalone single-disc DVD release. For the HD DVD side, previous interviews with Director Bryan Singer suggests that In-Movie Experience! will being done for this HD DVD and we've been informed about the inclusion of In-Movie Experience!. It is also possible that the bonus materials on the second disc of the 2-disc DVD release will be ported over to the HD DVD side or that the In-Movie Experience! bonus feature have made some of the featurettes and documentaries redundant, therefore some of them will not be included. But these are all speculations until an official press release from Warner Home Video becomes available.
